2023 Advocacy Days

The Florida Chapter is hosting a 2023 Lobby Day on December 4-5. The event will feature legislator meetings, interactions with ACS fellows, and specialty society leaders. Beginning on Monday, December 4, join us for dinner at the Flordia Medical Association with opportunities for attendees to interact with important legislators who are in leadership roles in healthcare committees like Chair Garrison on Appropriations, Chair Fine for HHS, Chair Burton on Health Policy and Chair Harrell on Appropriations. On Tuesday, December 5, attendees will have the opportunity for legislative visits to advocate for our legislative priorities and develop better relationships with our legislators and other leaders in the healthcare arena in Florida. Following the legislative meetings, we will re-group for lunch and a debrief of the day, identify opportunities for surgeons in Florida, and develop a way forward in strategic advocacy during the upcoming session.
