Florida Chapter Holds Successful Reception in Chicago at Clinical Congress

Jaime Membreno, MD, FACS; Juan Paramo, MD, FACS; Joseph Gallagher, MD, FACS The Florida reception was held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago. It was organized by the Florida Chapter, and co-hosted by the Florida, South Florida and Jacksonville Chapters of the American College of Surgeons. The University of Florida, Department of Surgery; the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Department of Surgery; the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Department of Surgery; and the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, Department of Surgery also served as co-hosts for the event. All newly recognized fellows of the ACS from Florida were invited in addition to the current fellows of the three chapters and their trainees. The 125 attendees enjoyed the event, and had the opportunity to network with other Florida ACS fellows, leadership from all three Florida chapters, and faculty from premier academic institutions across the state.
